What’s your favourite Foundation project/partnership?
Shelter stands out to me as the partnership that delivers real meaningful impact. Access to shelter is a fundamental human right yet people of all ages – young people, families, elderly and displaced people – can find themselves without a roof over their heads. I first worked with Shelter when the visionary and much-missed Sheila McKechnie was at the helm. She brought the pressing issue of homelessness to The Body Shop and we worked together to develop a campaign focused on collecting keys to symbolise access to a secure home. The collected keys were made into a bench as a very public symbol of the security that many of us take for granted yet so many are denied a roof over their head.

What makes you smile?
Random acts of kindness, walks on the beach, picnics in the park and English sparkling wine at sundown.

What makes you frown?
Thoughtlessness, a lack of empathy for people, animals and the planet, waste (food, packaging and lights left on) and disposable barbecues.

What’s your favourite Foundation project/partnership?
There have been a few, where you can see the positive difference, it makes all the hard work and fundraising worthwhile!

What makes you smile?
Cricket (until I broke my leg) but now being in the countryside or at the beach with my family is brilliant!

What makes you frown?
Marmite and going upside down on rollercoasters.

What is your day job?
US Merchandiser at FatFace

What’s your favourite Foundation project/partnership?
It’s got to be the National Forest partnership, I’ve been involved in the process since the start and quite literally seen it grow into an amazing forest!  It’s also very close to where I grew up so I’m really excited about what we’ve achieved together and for what’s to come in the future.

What makes you smile?
Running, cycling, walks with my dog, just generally being out in the countryside whenever I can

What makes you frown?
Littering, butterflies (weird phobia!), Parma violet sweets

What is your day job?
FatFace Foundation Operations Manager

What’s your favourite Foundation project/partnership?
It’s so hard to pick just one! I’m very proud of all the help we’ve been able to provide our amazing charity partners. I think it’ll have to be the smaller donations we’ve made to communities. For example, the Hayling Skate Park Project and Aviemore Ice Rink where we have been able to see the huge impact these projects have/will have on their local people.

I am excited about some future projects I am working on so look out for those!

What makes you smile?
The ocean, paddleboarding, surfing, family, friends and my two cat babies!

What makes you frown?
Single use plastic, sewage pollution & a cold cup of tea.

What is your day job?
Ex FatFace Events and Photography Producer and now running my own business of global conference and event production, as well as running the family B&B.

What’s your favourite Foundation project/partnership?
This is a tough one. I have been part of the Foundation since the beginning in 2009 and we have supported some incredible people, projects and causes. I think the one I am most proud of though was the speed at which we supported a factory FF works with in Nepal after the earthquake in 2015. I saw first hand the dramatic impact it had made on the families of the factory some 2 years afterwards.

What makes you smile?
Being on the water or ski slope with family and friends and seeing people have fun.

What makes you frown?
Seeing rubbish in beautiful places and the global inability to sort out a different way of dealing with it.

Robert Blackwood

What is your day job?
Retail Manager at FatFace

What’s your favourite Foundation project/partnership?
Thanks for Giving. When the Foundation, store teams and FatFace customers work together it really is a thing of beauty. Two week long events that raised over £300,000. We saw cycling challenges, hill climbs, quizzes and bake sales everywhere FatFace has crew. All to make the biggest difference to 221 small charities chosen by customers and store teams.

What makes you smile?
A good font, a new notebook, a small beer on a warm day, most marsupials and a great game of American Football.

What makes you frown?
Comic Sans, plastic bottles, unnecessary cucumber in a sandwich and texting at the dinner table

At the moment, I really appreciate what the Foundation has done to contribute to humanitarian aid in Ukraine –  I think it’s great we can contribute to both local and global issues.

What makes you smile?
Football (Liverpool FC), American Football, basically all sports playing and watching and my cats

What makes you frown?
Snakes, Manchester United
