From Friday 25th July, the FatFace Foundation store in Havant invited our customers to pick up a lovingly curated bag of scrap FatFace fabric for £5 and take part in our annual Sewing Bee Transformation Challenge. With no rules and endless possibilities, this year’s theme – “A Day Out at the Beach” – inspired a wave of creativity from our amazing community.
There aren’t enough words to describe just how utterly incredible the entries have been. From beach scenes to wearable art, each piece was a testament to your imagination, skill, and love for sustainable crafting.
We are completely blown away. A huge thank you to everyone who took part. Together, you helped us raise a staggering £700 for the Foundation, while also helping us explore new and exciting ways to repurpose waste in a fun and engaging way.
We’ve also received some truly heart warming feedback from customers, many of whom shared this experience with loved ones – making it not just a challenge, but a memory.
We’re already getting organised for next year’s challenge…
Are you joining in?

We were thrilled to have FatFace designer Helen join us to select the winning entry! Helen brought her expert eye and creative flair to the judging table. Helen’s passion for design and sustainability makes her the perfect person to celebrate the incredible talent on display.
