Our team from the Foundation shop in Havant (Jodie, Lydia and Helen) wanted to do something incredible for 2021 which lead them to organise this huge fundraising event. The aim was to raise £2,000 for marine conservation charities by stand up paddleboarding 1988km (birth year of Fatface!) in one year. Whilst they started out well, due to covid, weather, health and family situations it took the ladies until March 2022 to put in the final 100km but they did it with the help of friends, family and some epic FatFace crew!
During the Christmas match funding week at the Big Give we were able to donate £500 to Marine Conservation Society and £500 to The 2 Minute Foundation (#2minutebeachclean #2minutelitterpick) – meaning each of these charities received £1000 each! We then donated the rest, £900, to the amazing Final Straw Foundation!

As well as raising money our aim was also to raise awareness of the amount of litter ending up in our waterways. Every paddle we went on we removed as much rubbish as we could.
May bank holiday weekend we paddled the whole of the Basingstoke canal ~ almost 50km! We even did some wild camping and slept on our paddle boards!
